Hi, I’m Rob, the founder of Thrival Instinct. With 23 years of military service, I led elite teams in extreme environments, was part of and helped develop one of the world’s best Human Performance Programs.
During my distinguished military career, I faced intense situations that left deep scars—both physically and emotionally. Years of accumulated trauma manifested as anxiety, sleepless nights, and overwhelming stress. I was in survival mode without even realising it.
As my military career came to a natural close, I also faced a personal crisis: divorce after 17 years of marriage. It felt like my life was unraveling, and I wasn’t sure how to move forward. In that challenging time, I discovered the transformative power of ancient methods.
These simple tools helped me process trauma, release emotional burdens, and reclaim control of my life. Through deep practice, I became a master at letting go—of stress, fear, and even the identity I once clung to as a soldier.
These tools didn’t just help me survive—they helped me thrive. They allowed me to transition out of the military with clarity and ease, and even transform my relationship with my ex-wife into a supportive and amicable friendship.
Later, I served as Elite Performance and Training Director at DEEP, where I designed human performance and resilience training for explorers and scientists. Now, I’ve integrated everything I’ve learned into Thrival Instinct to help you reduce stress, reconnect with your authentic self, and thrive.
