For 23 years, I served in elite military teams, leading in high-stakes, high-pressure environments. I carried the weight of responsibility for the safety, success, and survival of my teams, earning honours like the Distinguished Service Cross for Gallantry. I was trained in one of the world’s most advanced human performance programs, mastering the ability to stay calm, focused, and decisive even in life-or-death situations.
Yet, despite my outward success, I found myself trapped in survival mode—constantly pushing, providing, and sacrificing while ignoring my own needs. Years of high-stress leadership, trauma, and loss silently eroded my sense of balance and inner peace. I believed that strength meant staying strong at all costs, suppressing my emotions and personal well-being.
It wasn’t until my career naturally came to a close—after losing colleagues, facing life-changing injuries, and experiencing a divorce after 17 years of marriage—that I confronted the emotional toll of these experiences. Everything I had built seemed to be crumbling, and I knew I needed a new path forward.
That’s when I discovered ancient practices that shifted my entire life. These tools helped me reconnect with my purpose, release emotional burdens, and lead from a place of calm strength rather than survival. I learned how to balance masculine leadership with emotional mastery, leading not just others but myself.
After spending years mastering these techniques, I began helping others—first as Elite Performance and Training Director at DEEP, and later by leading well-being retreats for servicemen and women. Over the past three years, I’ve guided more than 300 individuals toward balance, resilience, and transformation.
Now, through the Awakened Man Retreat, I’m dedicated to supporting men—leaders, fathers, and professionals—who are ready to embrace their full potential and lead their lives with clarity, purpose, and strength.
