ABOUT YOUR GUIDE

Rob Colley is the founder of Thrival Instinct and a specialist in breath training, meditation, and inner transformation.

He spent 23 years serving in specialist military units, operating in some of the world’s most extreme environments.

During that time, he developed a deep understanding of human stress, resilience, and the inner landscape that shapes our performance and wellbeing.

After leaving military service, Rob dedicated years to studying advanced yogic practices, meditation, nervous system intelligence, and human potential.

His journey took him from elite performance environments into deep inner work, and eventually into teaching. He has since guided over a thousand people through breath training, meditation, recovery, and resilience programmes, including military personnel, veterans, corporate teams, and individuals seeking reconnection and clarity.

  Rob’s approach blends:

Ancient yogic wisdom

Modern nervous system science

Breath training

Stillness & meditation

Trauma-informed awareness

A grounded, compassionate presence

His work is built on one simple truth:

When we return to the calm beneath the surface, everything changes.

FAQs

What if I’ve never done breathwork or meditation before?

No experience is required. All practices are guided step-by-step and you’re free to go at your own pace.

Breath retention and stronger breathing are always optional.

The session is designed to help you feel grounded, calm and connected, whether you’re a complete beginner or have years of practice.

What should I bring and wear?

Wear warm, comfortable clothing, a coat or blanket is ideal, as the session involves sitting and lying down.

Please bring a water bottle and a yoga mat if you have one (we’ll have a limited number available to borrow).

And bring an open mind.

Do I have to OM?

Absolutely not. You’re welcome to simply sit, breathe, and feel the atmosphere. But many who try it for the first time end up loving it, it’s a powerful and uplifting experience.

Is the event safe for everyone?

Most people can take part safely.

If you are pregnant or have certain medical conditions, you’ll simply need to avoid breath holds and stronger breathing techniques.

You can still fully enjoy the grounding, stillness, and meditation elements.
